The National Orphan Train Complex is a 501c3 non-profit and does not receive any funding from federal or local taxes. We operate completely off of grants and your donations. Here are a few ways you can donate to NOTC:
Match Month at the Community Foundation for Cloud County
November is MATCH MONTH at the Community Foundation for Cloud County! The National Orphan Train Complex has an operational fund at the Foundation, and often receives grants from their other funds, including the Impact Fund. Donations made to the Community Foundation AND to the NOTC Fund will both be matched in the month of November.
OPTION 1: Donate to the Community Foundation for Cloud County with the memo line “National Orphan Train Complex Fund” and your donations will go directly to us and will be matched by 100% until funds run out! This means if you donate $500, we receive a total of $1,000! DO NOT make the check out to NOTC or your donation will not be accepted.
OPTION 2: Donate to the Community Foundation for Cloud County with the memo line “Impact Fund” and your donations will go toward general grant funding in Cloud County and will be matched by 300% until funds run out. This means if you donate $500, the Foundation will receive a total of $2,000

One of the best ways to donate is to join our membership program and become a Friend of NOTC! For more information, click here.
We use donations to care for our facilities and collections, develop new exhibits, pay our staff, and host our annual Celebration. These donations are tax-deductible. If you would like to make a one-time or recurring donation, please email email@example.com or call (785)243-4471.
Fall Wish List
Each year, we compile a small list of specific items we could use at NOTC. Click here for our latest Wish List. It may also be found on our Facebook page, in your email inbox, and with our fall edition of Crossroads.
Sponsor a Window Shade
Sponsor a Brick in the NOTC Courtyard
Sponsor a brick for the National Orphan Train Complex courtyard! Bricks are $100 each, and allow for two lines of lettering. Each line can accommodate 13 total characters (including spaces). Bricks will be fired once a year, in June. To order, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for the order form, and return it via email (email@example.com) or mail (address listed on form).
Did you know that it costs $120 just to open the door on the Complex everyday? This includes utilities, insurance, maintenance, and salary for our curator. It doesn’t include any exhibit updates or enhancements.
Recognize the birthday of your Rider (or any other special person), your anniversary, or a Rider’s departure date by adopting a day at NOTC. Names will be recognized on the special date in the Orphan Train Museum, on our Facebook page, and on the NOTC website.
Download the Adopt-A-Day form to get started.
Note: The form can be filled out electronically, or printed out and hand-written.
Please consider shopping with Amazon Smile. Each time you order from Amazon Smile, they donate 0.5% of what you spent to a charity of your choice. Please select the National Orphan Train Complex and keep shopping!
