Virtual Workshop: DNA Research

7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join the National Orphan Train Complex for a free online workshop on DNA Research! Our presenter, Greg Markway, will share his experience finding his ancestors using DNA, and walk us through his tips for getting started. Event will be broadcast via ZOOM (link will be posted in March) at 7pm Central Time.

Greg Markway is a clinical psychologist from Jefferson City Missouri. His grandfather rode the orphan train from the New York Foundling to Central Missouri in 1901. Greg used his own DNA test results to identify his grandfather’s parents. Greg is the co-founder of the Orphan Train DNA group on Facebook where he helps other descendants look for their ancestors. He also has a blog where he writes about orphan train history and provides tips on searching.
